What Rizqo is
Rizqo is a web application. A firm signs up, creates a workspace and runs the commercial side of its projects there: proposals that clients accept from a secure link, contracts that clients sign online, phases that carry their own fee and billing type, time logged against those phases, and invoices built from phase progress and unbilled hours.
It is designed around how architects bill. A project is split into phases, and each phase is fixed fee, hourly or non-billable, so one project can mix fixed and hourly work. The RIBA Plan of Work stages can be added in a single step, or a firm can use its own phases. The architecture project management software guide explains what to look for when comparing tools like this, and the comparisons set Rizqo against BQE CORE, Monograph, Deltek Ajera and Factor with sourced facts.
Who it is for
Architects and architecture firms, from a solo practitioner to a studio of ten or more. The Starter plan is a single seat, Professional includes five members and Business includes ten, with extra members available on the two larger plans. Every plan includes every core module. See plans and pricing.
How the pieces connect
Rizqo links the commercial steps of a project, but not every link is automatic, and it is worth being exact about which are:
- Proposal to contract. An accepted proposal can generate the contract from its scope. This is a button, not an automatic step.
- Proposal to project. An accepted proposal can open a project prefilled with its title, client and value. Phases, rates and invoicing are then set up on the project.
- Phases and time to invoice. This link is automatic. An invoice pulls in the uninvoiced progress on fixed phases and the unbilled time on hourly phases, and every line records where it came from.
- Invoice to payment. Payments are recorded against the invoice and its status follows them.
- Everything to a report. The project report shows revenue and effort side by side, and exports to CSV, Excel or PDF.
What Rizqo does not do
Stating the limits plainly is deliberate. Rizqo does not:
- hold staff cost data, so it reports revenue and effort rather than gross margin or profit
- calculate work in progress or allocate overhead
- replace accounting software, or integrate with QuickBooks or Xero
- offer resource planning, capacity reporting or expense tracking
- produce AIA G702 or G703 forms
- replace CAD or BIM software
- run as a native mobile app (it works in a mobile browser)
- include a built-in stopwatch (time is entered on a weekly timesheet)
A firm that needs project accounting, work in progress or overhead allocation should read BQE CORE alternatives before moving to a lighter system, because that depth is exactly what a lighter system gives up.
Who makes Rizqo
Rizqo is made by Re-solve.co, a sole proprietorship owned by Altaf Nadaf and based in India. It is unrelated to Rizq, the UK digital bank.
