Time is logged against a project, and optionally against a specific phase or task. Each entry records a date, a duration and whether it is billable.
Logging time
- Go to Time and stay on the This Week tab.
- If the project or phase you worked on isn't already a row, click Add row and pick it.
- Type the hours into the day you worked, as a number (7.5) or a duration (1:30), and press Enter.
How an entry is priced
The hourly rate is stored on the entry itself at the moment it is logged, along with where that rate came from: the project's rate card, a custom rate typed in, or none. Because the rate is captured on the entry, changing a rate card later does not silently rewrite historic time.
Billability follows the phase. Time logged to a non-billable phase is non-billable, and reporting never recalculates it.
From time to invoice
Each entry carries a billing status and, once invoiced, a link to the invoice and the specific line item it became. That is what makes unbilled time reliable: an entry is either on an invoice or it is not.
Reviewing and updating entries
The All Entries tab lists every time entry in the workspace, filterable by project, member, billable status and date range. Select several entries to Mark billable, Mark non-billable, or delete them together; owners and admins can also Mark as unbilled to pull an entry off an invoice it was already billed on.
